Vettes to Vets
This is a reminder about an important and very worthwhile event...the "Vettes to Vets" pilgrimage to the Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA. If you haven't gone before, you'll feel really good if you go this year. Our veterans have done so much to maintain our freedom, and they should not be forgotten. Mark the date of September 28th in your calendar, and start collecting some of the articles these men and women need.
Click here for more information. We will meet at the Building 19 parking lot at 9:00 am with a 9:15 liftoff. This is a "not to be missed" event with an extremely worthy cause. See you on the 28th. This is a Rain or Shine event.

Cape Cod Corvette Club Cruise Night
Thursday July 10th we will be meeting at Building 19 in Weymouth for a cruise down to Wareham to Robertson Chevrolet for the Cape Cod Corvette Club Cruise Night. Meet at 5:15 and we will leave at 5:30 and head to the Totem poll rest stop on Route 3. We should arrive at the Totem Poll about 6:00. After picking up our southerly members, we will then proceed down to Wareham. Robertson Chevrolet is located at 3131 Cranbury Highway, Wareham, MA. We would like to see a big turnout to show support for the CCCC from their friends at SSCC.

Corvettes on Cape Cod
SSCC was well represented on Sunday at the Herritage Plantation. We had more than 16 members attend the show and won a beautiful trophy for Club Participation. The trophy is a glass bowl. Many of our members also brought home trophies including Merrill Cain, John Krance and John Morin, We would like to thank the Cape Cod Corvette Club for sponsoring such a successful event.

First of all, Thank you to Carmen for a beautiful Ice Cream run after our business meeting on Thurs.
I know this is short notice about the upcoming Cliff Walk for ALS sponsored by the Cape Cod Corvette Club this coming Sunday Sept. 9th in Bourne. They would like us to participate in their Corvette Display as part of the festivities. They would like the Corvettes to be in place by 9:00 a.m. so if we were going to meet someplace (I haven't got that far yet) then it would have to be at 8 or 8:30. I'll get back to you all next week.

This is an early announcement for next June's "Back to the Beach Weekend" in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. This will be Year #5 for Ralph Quaglietta and Sandie Bergeron's enormously popular Corvette weekend. There is limited space so it will be important to sign up early.
The dates are Thursday to Sunday, June 12-15, 2008 (Thursday is an optional extra day and will be $60 per couple for the room only). Couples who have already attended the weekend will be receiving their deposit information first. The annual "Corvettes Conquer Cancer" event was held in Nashua, NH on August 11, and Alan and Elaine Kemp, and Mal Smith and Joe Woodard attended.
